Title: MST Therapist
Employer: Brandon Centre
Description: The Brandon Centre is a charitable organisation providing psychotherapy, contraception and sexual health services for young people aged 12–21 years.
The Centre also offers Multisystemic Therapy (MST), a well-researched family and community-based treatment model directed at young people on the edge of care or custody who are involved in antisocial and challenging behaviour. We currently have three MST teams, one of which is an adaptation of the model to treat young people displaying problem sexual behaviour (MST-PSB).

We are seeking to recruit two therapists to the MST-PSB team:
• An MST-PSB Therapist who will be working across several London boroughs and who will occasionally be asked to take MST Standard cases.
• An MST Standard Therapist who will be working primarily in the London borough of Ealing with young people displaying antisocial behaviour and who will occasionally be asked to take MST-PSB cases.

When requesting an application form, please state which post(s) you are applying for. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the Criminal Records Bureau.
Interested people may locate information about this treatment model at www.mstservices.com for MST Standard and www.mstpsb.com for MST-PSB.

Specific experience in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy and behaviourally-based treatments preferred. Masters degree in a mental health field preferred, although an undergraduate degree with extensive experience will be considered. The MST-PSB therapist will provide intensive, in-home treatment, support and crisis intervention to young people presenting with problem sexual behaviours and their families. The post holder is also expected to work with MST Standard cases.
