The Department of Psychology invites applications for the post of Senior Lecturer in Psychology to complement and extend the world-class research and teaching within the Institute of Psychiatry (IoP), King’s College London which currently ranks second in the world in terms of publications and citations in the field of “Psychiatry and Psychology” (ISI Web of Science).
The post holder will reinforce the Department’s already substantial strengths in the areas of mental health, its interface with physical health, and in neuropsychology, and take a lead in developing new research directions.
You will be expected to prove and continue to demonstrate high standing at national & international level in research in, or with direct relevance to, mental health as established by outstanding contribution to its advancement through publications, creative work, record of grant funding and other appropriate forms of scholarship. You must have a good first degree in Psychology or closely related subject and a higher research degree eg PhD. Experience in delivering high quality teaching and training is essential, as well as leading & managing a research team, supervising post-graduate students and mentoring junior colleagues.
The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, on the Senior Lecturer grade. Appointment to the appropriate clinical or non-clinical scales will be based on qualifications and precise individual role details.
Minimum starting salaries on the relevant scales are as follows, and excluding £2,323 London Weighting:
Clinical Psychologist Senior Lecturer - £57,800 - £68,621 Non-Clinical Senior Lecturer - £46,846 - £54,283
