The School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology (SPCP) seeks a Programme Director who meets criteria for Principal Lecturer to lead the Professional Doctorate Programme based at the rapidly developing and vibrant Regent’s College London. The School has a portfolio of courses from Certificate to PhD, with courses leading to registration and accreditation with professional bodies. A substantial number of our students come from overseas. The College also has a thriving and fast growing portfolio of applied research and consultancy strongly linked to a range of postgraduate programmes. The School seeks a highly motivated and dynamic leader for its Counselling Psychology programmes. The Programme Director will have overall responsibility for resources and academic quality, and will be required to serves on a number of Faculty and Senate Committees. They should have experience in the successful delivery of new academic initiatives and programmes, well developed leadership skills and an understanding of research in the new university sector in the UK. Above all the College seeks a strong personal commitment to excellent outcomes for its students. The successful candidate will hold a relevant doctoral degree, be a Chartered Psychologist and a counselling psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. S/he should have extensive experience in leading academic or professional teams and be familiar with the existential approach in Counselling Psychology.
