| Description: | 37.5 hours per week (some evening/weekend working will be required) Fixed term until 31 March 2013 Based Ashford (Ref: 946),Thanet (Ref: 947) and East Kent Prisons (Ref: 950) KCA (UK) Mental Health Services provides a wide range of high quality, innovative primary care services across Kent, Surrey and Havering. We are looking for qualified and experienced High Intensity Therapists to work within our Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) teams in Kent. You will be providing interventions for a range of common mental health problems, ideally experienced in delivering CBT on a 1:1 or group basis. You should have a clear understanding of high intensity/high volume working, and knowledge of current NICE and IAPT guidance. Experience of working with offenders or in a prison environment would be an advantage. For the East Kent Prisons role, BABCP Accreditation or working towards BABCP accreditation is essential. The full range of skills and competencies as laid out in the competence framework for CBT (Roth and Pilling 2007) is essential. Experience of other NICE recommended interventions such as EMDR, IPT, (Behavioural) Couples Therapy for depression, etc. would be advantageous.
