Applications are invited from outstanding candidates in the field of social psychology as applied to economics. Applications are especially welcome from those with research interests relating to economic life, organisations, consumer behaviour, innovation and change management, and risk.
You must have a completed PhD, teaching experience and an established or emerging track record of excellent research with three papers published in internationally recognised journals. We expect commitment to engage critically with inter-disciplinarity and real-world applied research, multiple methodologies and psychology as a social science.

Our current domains of interest are organisational social psychology, community development and health, social and cultural psychology, social and public communication and consumer psychology. We are currently developing a stream of teaching and research in the social psychology of economic life , developing theory and real-world applications.
The Institute of Social Psychology has been for half a century the home of Societal Psychology and a leading centre for research in the real world. We conduct field research on five continents with cutting edge methods including online and multimedia, and house four peer-reviewed journals, and have a highly selected global student population (more than 50 nationalities), of outstanding level. The research environment is world-class, and includes a dedicated multimedia workshop with skilled technicians. We also have a thriving research student community.
