||TAYSIDE AREA PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPIES SERVICE
Over recent years NHS Tayside has committed to increased investment in the Area Psychological Therapies Service. The Service now has a complement of around 110 clinical and applied staff with an additional 20 trainees. Opportunity exists to combine a number of specialist posts to reflect career interests of suitable applicants. The Department provides a friendly, supportive and stimulating environment in which to work. Opportunities exist for involvement in teaching and research, taking advantage of close links with Universities of Dundee, Abertay and Stirling. Members of the Department also contribute to the supervision and training of trainees on the Edinburgh/East and South of Scotland Clinical Teaching Course, the Universities of Stirling and Dundee MSc Course and the Child course.

Clinical Psychologist – Neuropsychology
37.50 hours per week - Band 8a £38,851 to £46,621 per annum
As part of its improvement drive, NHS Tayside is increasing the adult Neuropsychology clinical staffing complement from 2.5 to 8.0 wte, in an incremental manner, over the next few years. Following the appointment of a further 3.0 clinical Neuropsychologists we now wish to make a 1.0 wte appointment. Successful candidates must have drive, enthusiasm and flexibility and be able to work within multidisciplinary settings.
The post-holder will be part of the wider NHS Tayside Clinical Neuropsychology Service which employs staff with a diverse range of clinical and research interests. As such, there are excellent opportunities for CPD, research and involvement in ongoing service development, all of which are strongly encouraged. The postholder will be based in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

Clinical Psychologist – Neuropsychology
18.75 hours per week - Band 8b £45,254 to £55,945 per annum (pro rata)
This established post is based in the Centre for Brain Injury Rehabilitation (CBIR) at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Dundee. The CBIR treats younger adults (16-65 yrs) from across the Tayside region who have recently sustained an acquired brain injury and who present with cognitive, emotional, communicative and/or physical difficulties. The successful applicant will work within a highly skilled and well-established multi-professional rehabilitation team to provide a specialised Clinical Neuropsychology service to the 16-bed inpatient unit and associated outpatient clinics. The service provides direct clinical work with patients and their families/carers, involving neuropsychological assessment, neuro-rehabilitation and psychological therapy, in addition to wider clinical activities such as goal planning meetings, case conferences and ward meetings.
