We currently have vacancies for the post of Assistant Psychologist Full time Salary Scale: £19,000 - £25,000 Assistant Psychologist in two of our provisions: AALPS North – a well-established, NAS accredited, Adolescent to Adult Life Preparation Service (AALPS) transitions service offering specialist support to people aged 16+ with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC), learning disabilities and complex needs. Kinsale School – A Welsh Assembly Government registered school and CSSIW registered children’s home. Accredited by the National Autistic Society and rated as ‘Excellent’ in all areas by ESTYN. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful, developing Multi-Disciplinary team and contribute to all aspects of assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation of the emotional and psychological needs for the students. This will also include training and supporting the staff teams to implement recommended strategies, monitoring progress and feeding back outcomes of interventions to the wider team. Previous experience of working with children and young adults with learning disabilities and / or autism spectrum conditions is essential. Candidates must have Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society and a consistently strong academic record.
