The University has implemented major academic initiatives and made recent investments in infrastructure development, including the new £31m Bolton One building, to ensure continuity of its remarkable progress and transformation of recent years. These initiatives include a holistic programmes review and revalidation, development of ‘platinum’ level undergraduate and postgraduate courses, restructuring and consolidation of academic faculties, focused internationalisation and development of a new HE corporate model that will redefine the design and delivery of HE in the UK. In this context, we are preparing for an even more successful future by seeking to make appointments to the following role: Professor of Psychology Faculty of Wellbeing and Social Sciences Ref: WSS-012/RMG Role will be full-time and a competitive remuneration package will be offered. In order to further develop and enhance our Psychology provision we are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to lead research, teaching and scholarly activity within the subject area. Applicants must be able to evidence an outstanding contribution made within academia and/or professional practice. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate vision, experience and the ability to inspire the next generation of psychologists. Any Psychology specialism will be considered; however, applicants with expertise in Counselling /CBT, Cyberpsychology or the Psychology of Health and Wellbeing are particularly encouraged.
