| Description: | Therapeutic Care Worker/Learning Disabilities Graduate Psychologists - 5 posts available Based in West Berkshire, our care homes regularly receive the highest ratings and commendations for provision of care to adults with learning disabilities. Our Service Users are unique individuals, often having their learning difficulties complicated by co-morbid presentations including; autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), personality disorders, and/or mental ill-health. Our organisation aims to provide the best quality of life for our service users and is led by a forward-thinking and motivated management team. Therapeutic care-worker role: You will be exposed to the range of psychological difficulties associated with learning disabilities. Your undergraduate knowledge will be enhanced by our training programme, informing your practice in assisting our service users with aspects of their personal care and daily living. You will need: • A psychology degree. • An interest in clinical psychology aspects of care. • A commitment to spending 1 year, minimum, in post. • Good team-working skills. What we offer: • Structured, clinically-based, training, including; clinical seminars, opportunity for personal research and training in psychological interventions. (Many past graduates have subsequently been accepted for clinical psychology training), • Mentoring from clinical and occupational psychologists. • Assisting with mentoring and writing clinical programmes.
