Applications are invited for this new post with the developing Mental Health In-Reach Service provided by CPFT to the Cambridgeshire prisons (HMP/YOI Littlehey, HMP Peterborough, HMP Whitemoor).This post will be based at HMP/YOI Littlehey. We require a qualified Clinical Psychologist who has experience of working in forensic/secure settings. Experience of working with young offenders would be advantageous. Applications would be considered from recently qualified Clinical Psychologists (band 7) who are prepared to develop into this role with an agreed CPD plan. You will work closely with other experienced Clinical and Counselling Psychologists as part of a multidisciplinary service team within the Specialist Services Division, which includes HMP Peterborough, HMP Whitemoor, Community Forensic teams and a low secure in-patient unit. As a service, our practice is guided by Recovery Principles.
This is an exciting time to join our existing well established multidisciplinary Prison Mental Health In-Reach Team. We can offer you commitment and encouragement with CPD, including training opportunities, clinical supervision and peer group support. We provide teaching and training placements for the UEA Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme and have close links with Cambridge University.
