| Description: | Chartered Psychologists x2 Up to £37,000 depending on experience Thornford Park, near Newbury Thornford Park Hospital part of Priory Healthcare is an independent 121 bed hospital set in 23 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire. We provide services for male patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of low and medium security. Thornford Park offers long-term treatment and rehabilitation to men with enduring mental disorders and forensic histories, and who present with multiple problems, challenging behavior, high risk behaviors and complex needs. We are looking to recruit two Chartered Psychologists to join the Department of Psychological Services at Thornford Park. The successful candidates will help to provide psychological services across the hospital, with responsibilities including delivering therapeutic interventions (both on a group work and 1:1 basis), administering neuropsychological/psychometric assessments, the completion of assessments of psychological need/risk, and contributing to the development of an expanding inter-disciplinary group work programme. The posts will be allocated to specific wards across low and medium secure services, with multi-disciplinary team working, consultation, and joint working with other professionals being a key feature of the role. We are looking for Chartered Psychologists with full applied divisional memberships, HPC registration, and related experience.
