Psychological Therapists & Psychological Well-being Practitioners |
| Employer: |
Mental Health Concern and Oakdale |
| Description: |
Mental Health Concern and Oakdale have come together to form an innovative new partnership to provide Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Services in Northumberland. These experienced healthcare providers have been commissioned by NHS North of Tyne to support this key health and well-being agenda.
We currently have the following job opportunities:
Psychological Therapists (Salary: £30,000 – £39,000)
The MHCO Northumberland IAPT Service is looking to appoint four experienced and enthusiastic Psychological Therapists to provide evidenced-based psychological interventions to both individuals and groups as part of stepped-care model of service delivery. In addition to organising and delivering psychological therapy, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the on-going professional development of themselves and other staff. The service consists of trained and trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and High Intensity Psychological Therapist Trainees plus a number of experienced, qualified Psychological Therapists. The service is led by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who is enthusiastic in seeking excellence and innovation in the delivery of primary care mental health services. We are especially keen to hear from therapists who hold BABCP accredited training in CBT but this is not essential as skills enhancement training in CBT and support in achieving accreditation will form a part of this post.
Psychological Well-being Practitioners (Salary: £20,000 – £27,000)
The MHCO Northumberland IAPT Service is also looking to appoint two experienced mental health practitioners to deliver low intensity psychological interventions as part of our stepped-care model of service delivery. We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of working with common mental health disorders preferably within primary care settings. Qualified Counsellors/Therapists, Graduate MH Workers and/or experienced Psychology Assistants should apply. Skills enhancement training in CBT will form a part of this post.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the MHCO Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Service. The MHCO Northumberland IAPT Service is a ground-breaking, flexible service offering support to patients from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm Monday to Thursday and some Saturday mornings.
Closing date: 26th February 2010
