The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust is one of the largest independent sector providers of community based, post acute brain injury rehabilitation in Europe. We provide a continuum of CARF accredited services from immediate post-acute rehabilitation to support packages in people’s own homes. Thomas Edward Mitton House is a 16 bed residential rehabilitation centre in Milton Keynes, with associated Transitional Living Units and Supported Houses in the local community.
We wish to appoint a clinical psychologist to take a key role in an enthusiastic and creative interdisciplinary team, providing neurobehavioural rehabilitation to clients with an acquired brain injury. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an interest in neuropsychological assessment and/or rehabilitation. You will be expected to lead the day to day provision of clinical psychology on the unit, as well as providing close management of clients, working with families and liaising with external agencies. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and physiotherapy, as well as clinical psychologists and assistant psychologists. You will have close supervision from an experienced consultant clinical neuropsychologist, and will be involved in the supervision of assistants and training of a wide range of staff. Research interests are actively encouraged and facilitated.
