We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic clinical psychologist to join our team of psychologists working with children, adolescents and their families in Kent and Medway. The post will be based in Maidstone where there are currently five Clinical Psychologists and one Counselling Psychologist working with children.
Applications are invited from experienced psychologists for this post, based in the Maidstone Tier 3 CAMHS team. The post offers the opportunity for direct clinical work with children and families in addition to liaison with a broad range of agencies. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of committed staff who have developed services which are innovative and capitalise on local partnerships. There will be the opportunity to work closely with other team members as well as to develop areas of specialist therapeutic interest. The team values the contribution of clinical psychologists and supports the development of new initiatives in relation to service demands.
You will be accountable to and clinically supervised by the Locality Consultant Clinical Psychologist liaising closely with the Service Manager.
There is a well-established Child Psychology Service within the Trust with regular professional meetings across the four localities of Maidstone, Medway, Tunbridge Wells and Dartford. There is a commitment to developing individuals in post, giving them opportunities in their continuing professional development and support in developing their area of special interest. In addition, there are good links with the Salomon’s Clinical Psychology Training Programme and trainees are regularly placed within the service.
