We are currently recruiting to a secondary care Consultant post in the North East Adult
service. This post offers the opportunity to work in an enthusiastic and supportive
environment. Adult mental health across East Glasgow Community Health Care Partnership (CHCP) covers Primary, Secondary, Crisis and In-patient services. We have three dedicated Community Mental Health teams (CMHTs) and one Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT). The Clinical Psychology service coordinates the delivery of Adult Psychology services across the East Glasgow CHCP, North Glasgow CHCP
and East Dunbartonshire CHP. It covers Primary Care Mental Health, Esteem, Crisis
Mental Health and Community Mental Health services and offers a clinical assessment
and treatment, liaison, R&D and training service. Our current staff have wide ranging
interests including: IPT, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR and Narrative Therapy.
We are keen that the colleague who joins us takes a lead role on an innovation beyond
their core role. Career growth is actively supported and there are opportunities for
personal and skill development.

You will provide an exceptionally high quality Clinical Psychology service to
people presenting with complex and enduring mental health problems. You will be
responsible for the psychological provision to the service and will liaise with team
members and the wider health and social care network as appropriate. You will also
develop, coordinate, professionally lead and manage other psychologists working in
secondary care. In this post you will be based in the East Glasgow CHCP. This is a
very forward thinking and dynamic CHCP. Your remit will include being one of a group
of senior colleagues who with others will help shape the development of mental
health services in this area. As such there will be an expectation that you will take a
lead in a number of strategic areas across this organisation as we proceed into the
new network organisation.

Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for
those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HPC is essential. You will
have substantial experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, and
experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision.
